Year 9 French Projects: Mi vida cotidiana (My Daily Life)

A creative speaking and writing project that runs over two lessons and builds on the Year 9 sentence builders. Students choose from 24 project options across six formats: solo, pairs, trios, groups of four, digital and multimedia, and challenge and extension tasks. Each task brings together vocabulary from across daily life, holidays, healthy living, food, school, technology and social media, encouraging learners to combine multiple tenses and justify their opinions. Outputs range from travel vlog journals, social media infographics and restaurant role-plays to lifestyle magazines, news reports, podcasts and short films. Faster finishers can access a range of stretch activities designed to develop accuracy and sophistication. The final slide summarises every sentence-builder topic and includes teacher guidance on tense variety, reflexive verbs, justified opinions and conditional structures.
