The Broken AI System is a fully interactive Year 8 Algebra Escape Room designed to engage students in solving algebra challenges while working collaboratively to recover the AI’s lost access code.

Students work in teams to complete four non-linear algebra stations covering solving linear equations, substitution, expanding brackets and simplifying algebraic expressions. Each completed challenge reveals a code fragment which teams combine to unlock the final system code before time runs out.

The escape room includes a detailed lesson plan, teacher narrative script, hint cards, answer keys and printable activity sheets, making it ideal for end-of-topic revision, engagement lessons, cover lessons or enrichment activities.
