Created by a former trampolining national champion and a qualified PE Teacher who holds a UKCC Level 2 Trampoline certificate and has over a decade of coaching experience.

Geared towards Year 7 (ages 11-12) beginners but has opportunities to challenge higher ability students while supporting lower ability ones. Priorities safety and technical development. Creates a strong foundation for taking trampolining as a sport for GCSE PE.

Unit Aims:

  • To understand how to safely participate in a trampoline lesson
  • To be able to stop the trampoline bed with control
  • To be able to do the 4 basic shapes with control: straight, tuck, pike, and straddle
  • To be able to do basic body landings including seat and front
  • To be able to combine skills into a 6 bounce mini routine

Includes:

  • Full scheme of learning mapped out over 6 weeks (6 hours).
  • Clear assessment criteria and scoring system to make end of topic grading easy
  • A range of appropriate routines progressing in difficulty

Year 8 and 9 SOL are also available
