Summer term morning work has to do double duty: keep Year 4 settled and ready to learn while still covering the curriculum, not just filling time until the register closes. This bundle gives you a full term of daily starters, already planned, so mornings run themselves from the first week back to the last.

What’s included:

• 12 weeks of morning tasks, 4 days per week (48 tasks in total) because we know some days there just isn’t time
• Maths coverage: times tables, decimals, money, time and the 24-hour clock, angles and shapes, the four operations
• SPaG coverage: standard English, punctuation, possessive apostrophes, fronted adverbials, word class practice
• Reading comprehension tasks with retrieval, vocabulary and inference questions
• Word ladders, Kennings and other short literacy warm-ups for variety across the week
• Pupil activity sheets saved as PDF files with matching PowerPoint slides (answers are included on the PPT)
• PDF and PowerPoint formats for easy printing or projecting

Each day’s task takes 20-30 minutes, so it fits neatly at the start of the day or in any other difficult to fill time slots. We have covered the Maths and English objectives most commonly taught at this time of year so children aren’t learning anything new.
