Need a challenging Year 10 homework booklet that develops GCSE Higher reasoning without hours of preparation? This Half Term 2 Challenge edition provides 13 ready-to-set homeworks plus a cumulative Mastery Checkpoint, with complete answers and mark schemes.

The 47-page booklet covers quadratic and geometric sequences, parallel and perpendicular linear graphs, quadratic, cubic and reciprocal graphs, algebraic direct and inverse proportion, growth and decay, reverse percentages and quadratic inequalities. Each homework is designed for approximately 30–35 minutes. Pupils should complete answers and working in an exercise book, on separate paper or digitally, as the booklet contains no working space.

Challenge comes through reverse reasoning, generalisation, proof, connected mathematics and topic-specific GO FURTHER extensions—not merely additional routine questions. Every optional extension includes model guidance in the answer section.

Each homework follows a clear six-part routine:
• IGNITE – planned retrieval and spaced practice
• BUILD – current methods through deliberate variation
• DETECT – commonly examiner-identified misconceptions
• PERFORM – GCSE-style application
• STRETCH – reasoning and depth
• REFLECT – brief metacognitive review

Interleaved retrieval revisits prior learning at planned intervals. Examiner-report-informed warnings target recurring errors without implying exam-board endorsement. Complete answers include methods, mark allocations, AO labels, examiner-style warnings and GO FURTHER guidance, supporting self-marking and low-preparation departmental use.

What’s included:
• Year 10 GCSE Higher Challenge Booklet 2 – Half Term 2
• 13 homework sets plus one cumulative Mastery Checkpoint
• Sequences, graphs, proportion, percentages and inequalities
• Retrieval, misconceptions, application, proof and extension
• Complete answers, mark schemes and model guidance
