A complete half term of purposeful Year 10 GCSE Foundation homework—without searching for separate retrieval, misconception and extension tasks. This Challenge Edition contains 14 carefully sequenced homeworks for Booklet 2, Half Term 2, each designed for approximately 30–35 minutes.

The programme develops algebraic notation, simplifying and substitution; expanding and factorising; linear equations; inequalities; formulae and rearranging; and arithmetic sequences. Previously taught number skills return through planned retrieval and interleaving.

Built using insights from GCSE examiner commentary, assessment guidance and recurring classroom misconceptions, each homework combines spaced practice with deliberate variation and increasingly connected reasoning. Challenge comes through reverse tasks, classification, construction, proof and strategic comparison—not repetitive extra questions.

Every homework follows a consistent six-part journey:
IGNITE — interleaved retrieval
BUILD — current methods and deliberate variation
DETECT — examiner-report-informed misconceptions
PERFORM — GCSE-style application
STRETCH — reasoning and depth
REFLECT — brief metacognitive review

Optional GO FURTHER tasks extend the mathematics and include model guidance and success criteria. A cumulative Mastery Checkpoint completes the half term.

Students answer in an exercise book, on paper or digitally; the PDF intentionally contains no writing space.
