Help students recognize, talk about, and work through worries with this engaging Worry Worm booklet and display craft. Inspired by the comforting worry worms many children use, this resource gives students a simple way to identify worries and connect them to healthy coping strategies.

The booklet introduces the WORRY mnemonic, helping students understand that many worries—especially “what if” thoughts—can feel bigger than they really are. Students can use the booklet to think about their worries and practice positive ways to respond. The included large worry worm craft can be cut out and assembled to create a meaningful classroom display that reinforces the coping

strategies all year long.

The WORRY reminder teaches:
W – “What if” thoughts are not always true and they can trick our minds!
O – Open up about your worries!
R – Refocus your mind with healthy coping tools!
R – Remember how strong you are!
Y – You have the power to face your worries — you’re stronger than your worries!

A helpful social emotional learning resource for classroom discussions, calm corners, counseling support, and teaching healthy ways to manage anxiety.

Included in the Resource:
Worry Worm student booklet
Large printable worry worm cut-out display
SEL coping strategy pages
Printable classroom support resource
