Everything you need to teach world climate zones at KS3 — the complete 100-mark worksheet and extension pack together as a lesson bundle, saving £1 on buying them separately. No preparation required. Suitable for KS3 Geography students aged 11-14.

Climate zones are regions of the Earth that share similar long-term climate conditions. Shaped by factors including latitude, altitude, distance from the sea, and ocean currents, they form recognisable east-west belts running from the hot equatorial zone through temperate regions to the polar extremes.
The complete worksheet spans five pages and 100 marks across three progressive sections: Section 1 (30 marks) covers knowledge recall through multiple choice, true or false, and fill-in-the-blank questions on all key concepts. Section 2 (40 marks) develops understanding through climate zone comparisons, key term definitions, and extended responses on how altitude, distance from the sea, and ocean currents affect climate. Section 3 (30 marks) challenges students with extended writing and an evaluative task on whether latitude alone determines the climate of a place, using Glasgow and Moscow as a case comparison.

The extension pack adds five pages of enrichment across four activities: a 12-term vocabulary matching exercise, a 25-mark challenge quiz with data interpretation, a 20-mark Namib Desert case study, and a criteria-assessed Teach It Back creative task. Full answer keys and detailed marking guidance are included for both resources.

Both resources are also available separately on the iNewittAll TES store.
