A simple, low-prep Book Day activity that gets children exploring real books and talking about what they find.

Children pick a prompt card (for example a character wearing a hat, someone being kind, something red, or a vehicle) and search through a pile of books to find an example. When they find it, they explain what they found.

This activity encourages children to look closely at illustrations, discuss stories and develop language through purposeful talk.

Perfect for: Nursery, Reception and KS1

Includes: Printable book hunt prompt cards for an easy, engaging classroom activity.
