Students will understand how vaccines work by injecting an altered form of a pathogen and how the secondary response is more effective than the primary response to the initial exposure. It tests students on the importance of vaccines to prevent epidemics and how antibodies resulting from vaccines can detect pathogens such as coronavirus (COVID-19).
