Times Tables Tile Match is built around speed and recognition, not memory. Tiles constantly refresh with new calculations and answers as the round progresses, so there’s no layout to memorise and no advantage in remembering where anything was — every glance at the board is a fresh calculation. That’s deliberate: it keeps pupils actively multiplying throughout the round rather than falling back on recall of tile positions, which is exactly the kind of instant factor-pair recognition that builds real fluency.

Three difficulty tiers (Bronze 2–5, Silver 2–10, Gold 2–12) let the same game stretch from an early multiplication introduction to a genuine challenge for your most confident mathematicians. Combo scoring rewards consecutive correct matches, with bonus points once a streak takes hold — and a wrong pair costs nothing but the combo itself, so pupils stay locked in and keep matching rather than stalling out. A saved high score means they’re chasing their own best round after round.

Two optional modes add extra flavour: Sticky mode protects your currently selected tiles from being changed mid-turn, and Timer mode adds a visible 60-second countdown per round for a genuine race-the-clock feel — ideal for a quickfire starter or a competitive plenary.

Runs entirely in the browser with no installation required, works fully offline once opened, and is completely GDPR-compliant — no pupil data is ever collected, stored, or uploaded. Ideal for a warm-up, a plenary, or a five-minute reward slot on the IWB.
