A three week unit designed for teaching The Yellow Wallpaper to S3 as their final critical essay unit. Comes with lesson slides, a character tracker, and an essay plan for the National 5 question about a character you feel sympathy for. Also includes a group discussion template as I used this for their National 4 AVU.

Explicitly teaches narrative perspective, situational and dramatic irony and covers characterisation of John and symbolism of the paper. My class had already covered symbolism and pathetic fallacy in some detail in previous units so this is mentioned but not covered.
