When you find an old letter from Captain Greenbeard in the attic, along with his treasure map, you embark on a journey to a desert island in the middle of the ocean. However, there’s not much time left to gather all the hidden keys - the island’s volcano is about to wake up. Can you overcome all the challenges and escape with the treasure before the volcano erupts?

This is an interactive online escape game made in Genially, focusing on summer vocabulary and past simple. It was created for use in the EFL/ESL classroom and is aimed at secondary school pupils (age 12-15).

In this escape game, pupils have to pass through six locations, completing various tasks related to the topic. After they have collected all the keys, they can choose their treasure chest and find out what ending awaits them ;)

The activities in the game include:
*Shipwreck Coast: match summer vocabulary to the correct picture, hangman
*Mountains of Madness: summer activities - choose the correct option
*The Lone Rock: sort the vocabulary into the correct categories
*Waterfall of Wonders: word search
*Cave of Echoes: fill in the correct form of the verb
*Volcano Vault: choose your treasure
