Here’s a handout that I give my physics students for when we learn about the difference between stationary waves and progressive waves.

I’ve also included two videos to go along with this:

  1. Video to explain the theory
  2. Video to show you how to carry out an experiment to find the speed of light using the idea of nodes and anti-nodes in standing waves - I had a lot of fun doing this!
