This independent research project is ideal for a end of Term lesson

Students choose a Spanish city and research attractions, restaurants and activities before creating a presentation, poster or leaflet about their perfect weekend in Spain. The project encourages students to apply vocabulary and grammar from the module, particularly the near future tense (ir + a + infinitive), while developing cultural knowledge and independent learning skills.
Students will:

Research a Spanish city of their choice
Find 5 places to visit
Find 3 restaurants, cafés or food venues
Choose 1 leisure activity
Write multiple sentences in Spanish using the future tense
Include opinions and reasons
Add images and present their findings creatively

Included:

A colourful student poster with clear instructions
Sentence starters and language support
Success criteria
Challenge extension task

Suitable for: KS3 Spanish (Year 9)
Duration: 45–60 minutes
Skills: Reading, writing, research, cultural awareness, future tense
