1. Profile cover sheets for QCIA students studying Social and Community Studies. It includes QCIA goals mapped to the specific units being taught.
2. A modified learning booklet for during the term (before the assessment goes out). It has activities designed to address specific QCIA learning goals. It includes: a) simply written but age appropriate scenarios for students to consider and respond to; a match the definitions activity; a section asking them about what social media platforms they use and what positives and negatives they have noticed; a section on values/ethics and behaviour – how to be respectful online; an identifying activity (reading scenarios and deciding respectful or not respectful); learning where to go for help; read the scenario and match the problem to who can help; describing uses of digital technologies at school, home and in the community; looking at some Facebook groups in our local area. Considering why citizens might want to follow this page; identifying benefits and risks of technologies. There is a passage to read and some multiple choice and short response questions; activity: benefit or risky?; activity: What should you do (4 scenarios).; Select technologies for simple tasks – choose the right technology.; recognise communication protocols online (reading task and then an activity – decide ok to post, think carefully or probably shouldn’t post); tips for creating strong passwords and protecting your privacy; writing task (why privacy settings matter); Digital footprints (complete a maze); reflection task
3. A modified task sheet which contains QCIA cover sheet and goals
4. A modified inquiry booklet for once the assessment goes out. This can be completed electronically or students can fill it in. students have to define terms, include a picture (or draw one), give an example.; they have 2 social media platforms to explain (Instagram and Facebook - they have to list some good and bad things about each); they must write 3 research questions; they must answer each of their questions.
5. A template for a PPT which students can make as their product.

Resources designed for the new senior Social and Community Studies syllabus (implemented in QLD in 2024). Topic: Digital Citizenship. The end of term assessment for this unit was a product (Information Booklet / Pamphlet / Brochure).
