This ready-to-use Russian language lesson is based on the short film “The Last Request” (Последняя просьба).

The lesson combines vocabulary development, speaking practice, listening comprehension and discussion activities.

The resource includes:
• body parts vocabulary;
• internal organs vocabulary;
• illnesses and symptoms;
• communication with a sick person;
• pre-viewing prediction tasks;
• film comprehension activities;
• detailed observation questions;
• discussion and critical thinking tasks.

Students develop Russian vocabulary related to health and illness while discussing friendship, trust, honesty and ethical decision-making.

Suitable for Russian as a foreign language learners at approximately A2–B1 level, secondary school students, conversation classes and supplementary language courses.

The lesson can be used as a complete 60-minute lesson or adapted for online teaching.
