Romeo and Juliet William Shakespeare lesson that explores both prologues in the play (Act 1 and Act 2), looking at how they establish character and themes through the use of language.

We analyse Act 1 and how it is an integral part of the play’s structure, including how it is designed to impact on the audience’s thoughts and feelings. We go on to analyse the prologue from Act 2 and how it mixes different themes to reflect the plot events of Act 1 onwards.

A really useful lesson for students exploring Romeo and Juliet or revising for GCSE or KS3 assessments and English Literature exams.
