This is a fun way to encourage speaking and listening using nursery rhymes and to listen for and use rhyming words.

The first page gives 3 examples showing a say and response using the rhyming words included.

Page 2 and 3 can be completed together as a class to give the children the general idea.

There are then 8 sets of characters with empty speech bubbles for children to use to create their own say and respond rhymes. Print these off and children can complete together or in pairs.
