Handle With Care is a three-part assembly series designed to help students think critically about artificial intelligence without dismissing it. The tone throughout is pro-thinking and not anti AI. Students are not told to avoid AI, they are taught to use it well.

The trilogy covers three ideas that every student using AI needs to understand. Assembly 1, It’s Not Always Right, looks at why AI gets things wrong and why confident does not mean accurate. Assembly 2, It’s Not Always Honest, explores how AI learns to tell you what you want to hear, and what that means for the advice it gives. Assembly 3, It’s Not Always Free, examines what AI and technology actually cost: your data, your attention, and your autonomy. Each assembly uses a commitment-before-reveal mechanic that keeps students actively thinking rather than passively watching. They are designed to run in 15 to 20 minutes and require no specialist knowledge to deliver.

Curriculum links:
Mapped to the PSHE Association Programme of Study (2026) and DfE statutory online safety guidance. Strongest statutory hook: point 15, which requires students to critically assess AI chatbots and other new technology. Suitable for KS3 and KS4, Years 7 to 11. The assemblies are primarily written for KS3 and KS4 but work equally well with sixth form students. Tutors delivering to KS5 may wish to allow more time for discussion, particularly in Assemblies 2 and 3.
