This resource has been designed for students working towards Entry Level 3 Functional Skills English certification (Edexcel-Pearson, NCFE, City and Guilds, NOCN and Open Awards). It contains an age-appropriate, 65-slide PowerPoint lesson and a 34-page workbook on the Entry Level 3 speaking and listening component.

This resource will help students to achieve these outcomes:

identify and extract relevant information and detail in straightforward explanations
make requests and ask questions using appropriate language in different contexts
communicate information and opinions clearly on a range of topics
respond appropriately to questions on a range of topics
follow and understand the main points of discussions
make relevant contributions to group discussions about topics
listen to and respond appropriately to other points of view, respecting the convention of turn-taking

Speaking and Listening Workbook

The 34-page workbook contains 20 engaging speaking and listening tasks. It is provided in PDF format and an editable PowerPoint version to enable personalisation of the resource.
