This comprehensive Remembrance Day resource pack is designed to provide a meaningful and engaging experience for primary school children. Perfect for classroom lessons, homework, or a school assembly, it combines a full interactive assembly script with differentiated activity packs for Years 3–6.

The assembly is designed for up to 30 children, giving each pupil a speaking part as soldiers, medics, historians, or poppy holders. It includes the traditional bugle call “The Last Post” and ends with a reflective moment on the importance of peace, gratitude, and remembrance.

The activity packs complement the assembly, offering a variety of tasks such as: reading comprehension, trivia quizzes, code breakers, descriptive and persuasive writing, and chronology exercises. Each pack comes with answers included, making them ideal for assessment, peer review, or guided class discussion.

This resource is a powerful tool to teach British values, encourage reflection, and celebrate the bravery and sacrifices of those who lived through war. It saves teachers time, supports differentiated learning, and helps make Remembrance Day a meaningful and memorable occasion for students.
