A fun, differentiated Race to 100 game that develops number recognition, place value, counting, addition and subtraction for Years F–4.

Students work in pairs to race across the 100 chart. They roll a die, move their counter, read the number they land on and complete a challenge whenever they land on a highlighted square. The first player to reach 100 wins.

Skills covered

  • recognising and sequencing numbers to 100
  • place value
  • addition and subtraction
  • odd and even numbers
  • multiples of 5 and 10

Differentiation
The Challenge Cards are colour-coded by difficulty:
Blue-bordered cards: accessible challenges suitable for Foundation–Year 2;
Red-bordered cards: more complex challenges for students who are ready for an extension. Teachers can use one level at a time or combine both sets to support mixed-ability groups.

What is included

  • printable Race to 100 game board
  • blue Foundation–Year 2 Challenge Cards
  • red Years 2–4 extension Challenge Cards
