This is a complete lesson for PSHE/Tutor time to support with the upcoming General Election.

Included are reflection activities about the election, slide detailing manifesto pledges for KS3/4 students. Lots of information for tutors to use. CPD for teachers slide. ‘Do Now’ template slide. Worksheet for students to complete.

Aims are:

  • To understand what the general election is and its purpose.
  • To recognise the importance of being informed about elections.
  • To discuss the impact of elections on society and individual lives.

This is a ready to teach lesson - although slide 6 might want to be adapted for local context.
