Power and Conflict Poetry 2027 revision for English Literature Paper 2 revision lesson on comparing two anthology poems and exploring how their messages are similar and different and WHY.

We explore London by William Blake and My Last Duchess by Robert Browning, around the theme of anger, analysing how the key messages and attitudes on this theme are similar or different, working as a template for students to compare messages around key themes for other poems, in turn helping students to prepare for the exam in the 2027 summer.

Additionally, we also explore the messages of Checking Out Me History by John Agard and Bayonet Charge by Ted Hughes.

The lesson includes differentiated and adaptive learning approaches, detailed theme notes and more.

A really useful way of revising poetry in time for the Paper 2 exam in May 2027.
