A lesson exploring Jane Weir’s poem Poppies, taken from the AQA Literature Power and Conflict anthology.

The lesson includes a poetry recap bell task, a copy of the poem, some structured analysis provided for the first stanza, discussion around the connotations of a Poppies image and a relevant exam style question with sentence starters included.

Designed and delivered for mixed-ability KS4 ready for their AQA Literature examinations. All resources attached.
