A KS2 personal finance worksheet for Y3 to Y6. Pupils divide their weekly pocket money across Save, Spend on Needs, Spend on Fun and Give.

Could be used as a homework project after teaching [the full KS2 budgeting lesson](/teaching-resource/resource-13481126).

The planning-before-spending habit is one of the most powerful things a child can build. This one-page planner gives pupils a structured way to practise it: they write in their weekly amount, divide it up among four categories, colour the segments on the budget bar, then list specific things they plan to spend on in each section.

A final reflection question, answered at the end of the week, asks whether they actually stuck to their plan.

Supports KS2 PSHE financial capability objectives. The percentage field in each panel also links naturally to maths work on fractions and percentages in UKS2.

This activity is one of hundreds of resources on the Tykeoons primary financial education platform.

This resource contains:

  • A blank budget bar for pupils to draw their own segment lines and colour in
  • Four category panels (Save, Spend on Needs, Spend on Wants, Give), each with an amount and percentage field plus five write-on lines for specific plans
  • A key with four blank squares for pupils to colour-code their bars
  • Four reflection questions, including an end-of-week reflection question
