Make learning active and fun with this Pin the Tail on the Horse game! This playful activity is perfect for kindergarten and young learners and can be used as a fun classroom game, party activity, or movement break.
How to prepare:
• Print the horse and tail on cardstock paper for a stronger, more durable activity.
• Have children colour the horse and the separate tail.
• Carefully cut out the tail.
• Attach the horse to a wall or suitable surface.
• Blindfold the child, gently spin them around, and let them try to pin the tail in the correct place!
• Encourage everyone to cheer for their classmates and have fun.
Why cardstock?
Printing on cardstock is a great idea because it makes the activity sturdier and easier for little hands to handle. It also helps prevent the horse and tail from bending or tearing during repeated classroom use.
This activity encourages hand-eye coordination, spatial awareness, listening skills, turn-taking, and gross motor development, while giving children plenty of opportunities to laugh, move, and practice following simple instructions.
