The Pig Pen is a play based number 0-20 addition and subtraction game that helps children understand simple number equations. Using cute pigs, children add or remove pigs from the pig-pens on the play mats depending on the number equation shown on the hay bales. For lower ability children there are simple addition and subtraction equations that = 0<10 and for children with higher ability , the equations = 0<20 with two types of mats. One type where the children only have to write the answer to the equation in the answer box and the second type of mat has space for children to write the answer in a number sentence, i.e. 12+5=17
