I couldn't find a text on line which provided the example of what I was looking for in a model persuasive letter. So I wrote one (and wish that i had done earlier as it was quicker)

This is a letter to the head teacher which tries to persuade them to get rid of school uniform.

It can be used as a model text to look at with the children to identify features and language.
It could be used a starting letter to be up-leveled and improved
We used it as the 'Imitate' text at the beginning of a T4W cycle

Had the features I needed - my main quibble is the use of "myself" when you mean "I"! Myself is so misused these days. It's a reflexive verb. "I wash myself". "My peers and I feel", not "My peers and myself feel". You wouldn't say "Myself feel". You've saved me a lot of time though! Thank you!

Exactly what I needed. Has many features of persuasive writing to be discussed with class. Edits from reviews below also noted and will be used a teaching point.

Nicely structured letter, but incorrect spelling of 'stationary'. Have changed to 'stationery'. Have also added missing date and punctuation at the end. Thank you for the free resource though - only had to make a couple of small changes.

Nice letter, but I have changed "Myself and my peers feel more comfortable and at ease in our own clothes" to the grammatically correct "My peers and I feel more comfortable..."
