Narrative prompt ideas for 5 different drop, shift, zoom, leave narratives.

By practising using the scaffold, students become adept at moving into different gears within a piece of writing within the allocated 45 minutes and work on building up tension towards the character committing a decisive action of some kind at the end.

Students also practise using and developing a motif within the story that takes on greater symbolic significance as the story progresses.

Also includes a 20 question multiple choice quiz on features of drop, shift, zoom, leave.

Also includes an activity where students practise writing the ending of two drop, shift, zoom, leave narratives where the character makes a decisive action to release the built up tension.
