This resource helps children recognise, name, discuss and understand a range of everyday emotions and feelings.
It includes 15 black-and-white emotion cards with matching emotion words, ideal for colouring, discussion activities and display work, alongside a full-colour set of the same 15 emotion cards for group activities, circle time and emotional literacy lessons.
The resource also contains a teacher planning sheet with simple activity ideas to support Personal, Social and Emotional Development (PSED), speaking and listening, and relationship-building skills. Children can use the cards to identify emotions, share personal experiences, role-play situations, sort feelings into groups, and discuss strategies for managing emotions. Suitable for whole-class teaching, small-group work, intervention sessions, and continuous provision in EYFS and KS1 classrooms.
