Becky, you model how AO1 and 2 are achieved on the sample mark scheme. (The emphasis being on writers’ methods where possible.) Students then generate their own “difficult” questions using an allocated or even differentiated character (you decide based on the needs of the class). They swap questions and create a sample mark scheme using the blank one (which I tend to find is better on A3). Does this help?
