Excel required - for generating random target numbers
Suitable for KS2
Required = dice and counters
Target numbers, Luck Dip & Life Cards provided

Aim: To be first to reach the end on the game board.

Detailed instructions on game board setup and rules are provided in the Instructions file

Round 1: Decide on whether the game will be >Greater than or < Less than.
Decide on whether you will use 2, 3 or 4 digit numbers from the Target pile or a combination of all three.
Let’s assume that this entire game is >Greater than.
Players are dealt five Target Number cards each.
One Target number is then turned face up for all players to see.
Each player in turn looks at their hand and places one of their numbered cards on the table; in this instance, a number that is > Greater than the Target number. If correct, the player rolls the dice and moves the required number of spaces. If the player’s number is < Less than the target number, they wait until their next go.

Round 2: Turn over a new Target number from the pile. The player chooses another number from their hand that is >Greater than the Target number.
If the answer is correct, the player rolls the dice and moves the required number of spaces. If the answer is incorrect or the player does not have a >Greater than number, they wait on the square until their next go.
When a player’s five cards have been used, they are dealt another 5 cards from the target pile and the game continues.

The first player to reach the finish on the game board is declared the winner.
Rules for the game and board set up are provided with the Instructions file.

The target numbers are generated in Excel and a new set of random numbers are generated every time the file is opened.
If you use a Mac, pressing the fn key then the f9 key, will generate random numbers too. This is particularly useful when you want to see what numbers are generated before you decide to print.

BONUS 3X <> worksheets - 32 questions on each one.

WS 1 = numbers up to 100, WS2 numbers 100, 999. WS3 Numbers 1000,9999
e.g. Use < or > to make each statement true: 4896 ? 3013
True or False? 675 < 515, 1423 > 1342

Random numbers are generated every time the file is opened.
On a Mac, use fn then f9 to generate new numbers

Have fun!
