KS3 - A lesson where students have to learn how to build a shelter on the Island they would be staying on for a reality TV show called “The Last Survivor” in which they would have to survive on the island for 28 days. Students must keep a diary of their time on the island.

The lesson focuses on writing to inform. A variety of activities and resources, including an instruction guide for building a shelter and a fun activity where pupils can try to build their own shelter (does require sourcing of equipment for this). Students taught how to use imperatives so that when they write their own instructions for building a shelter they will use them.
