Emergency maths cover should not collapse because the class finishes the work in ten minutes. Maths Cover Work Level 2 places a genuinely substantial amount of purposeful mathematics into the smallest practical printing footprint. Each version contains four densely packed student pages with 720 short questions, followed by three compressed answer pages. There are no answer boxes or artificial working-out space. Pupils work in exercise books or on separate paper, so the printed resource can be collected, stored and reused.

WHAT IS COVERED
Level 2: Core Number Fluency.

Pupils practise integer arithmetic; written and mental multiplication and division; negative numbers; decimal calculation; factors; and multiples. Questions are concise and calculation-focused, making the pack easy to scan when you need cover linked to particular skills. This is fluency and retrieval practice rather than a lesson requiring lengthy teacher explanation, so it works when cover must be set quickly, the covering teacher is not a maths specialist, or pupils need sustained independent practice.

WHY ARE THERE 20 VERSIONS?
One sheet is useful once; a bank of 20 versions solves the recurring problem. Each version retains the same broad difficulty and curriculum focus while changing questions and values. Rotate them across classes, use a fresh version for each absence, avoid giving neighbouring groups identical work, revisit skills without repeating a sheet, or assemble the collection as a permanent cover booklet. They are also useful for detention, internal exclusion, supervised study, catch-up, tutoring and revision. Emergency cover no longer needs inventing at 7:30 in the morning: select a version and it is ready.

HOW TO USE IT
Print the four student pages two-pages-per-side and double-sided to create one compact A4 handout. As pupils do not write on the sheets, a class set can be laminated, placed in wallets or bound into reusable booklets. Students record question numbers and answers in their books. Set selected rows, a timed target or allow pupils to progress at their own pace. Answers follow every version for rapid checking, self-marking and non-specialist cover.
