A joint revision lesson for Macbeth and A Christmas Carol that explores how conceptual themes such as guilt, fear, the supernatural, darkness have different effects in each text. A great lesson for encouraging students to think about the two Literature Paper 1 texts in a more abstract way to help meet the criteria for AO3 without overloading on context by, instead, getting students to think about what Shakespeare and Dickens are saying about the human condition.

Also contains a list of 30 high level vocabulary words to help students write about each text in a sophisticated way.
