Lord of the Flies Chapter Two lesson that explores William Golding’s novel as Jack and Ralph assert their authority over the boys and Piggy - who acts as a voice of reason. We learn about the conch and its significance as it affects how the children behave in Chapter 2 - The Fire on the Mountain.

Students analyse the new characters, the significance of the conch and key quotations around both. An excellent way to introduce the text to both KS3 and KS4 classes.
