This is the first of a three-lesson series introducing linear graphs and drawing Linear Graphs. It goes through what linear graphs are, how they are linked to coordinates, how to use tables and how to draw them. This lesson concentrates on lines parallel to the axes and ones in the form x + y = n. The lesson after follows on by looking at linear functions in the form y = mx + c. This lesson is ready to go, with no prep required. It is also great for home learning. 15-slide presentation + lots of extra resources.

This lesson includes:

+ Starter (on coordinates to help make the link)
+ Lesson objectives (differentiated)
+ Keywords
+ very clear teaching examples
+ activities with MWB
+ questions
+ worksheet (with answers)
+ plenary
+ Handout (Blank Axes for questions)

Linear Graphs, Graphing BUNDLE

This is 3 whole lessons teaching all the different aspects of linear graphs and is very thorough with loads of extra resources, worksheets etc.. included.

Lesson 1: Linear Graphs - Introduction and Drawing
Lesson 2: Linear Graphs - Finding the equation of the Line
Lesson 3: Linear Graphs - Finding the gradient

This is generally a topic that is done very poorly in exams and one that pupils especially at KS3 struggle with. These lessons are designed for pupils at KS3. With weaker groups, I tend to repeat lesson 2 twice (additional worksheet provided).

All lessons in this series include starters, lesson objectives, keywords, very clear teaching examples, use of MWB, worksheet with answers and plenaries and additional handouts.

For any issues, please email outstandingresourceshelp@gmail.com
and we will aim to respond within 48 hours.
Lessons are flat-packed (with limited editing) to maintain copyright protection.
We would greatly appreciate it if you could leave a rating and feedback.

Thank you for your support, your purchase, and for taking the time to provide feedback!

#mathslessons #maths #secondarymaths #mathscentres #teachingideas #algebra #teacherslife #teachingkids #teachingmaths #mathsactivities #homeschooling #tesresources #teaching #mathsisfun #teachershare #teachertips #teachers #KS3 #KS4 #KS5 #igcse #learning #gcsemaths
