Across 10 pages (two outlines per page), children can decorate, collage, colour, and add facial features to a wide range of characters — witch, dog, cat, princess, teddy bear, knight, Father Christmas, and more.
For best results, print onto thin card (or paste onto card), cut around the outlines, then model how to make the puppets “walk” by joining the back strip and sliding two fingers through.
Children can invent and retell familiar stories, perform a class or assembly puppet show (perfect for celebrations like World Book Day), and follow up with creative writing about their characters and plots.
