L4 of the scheme of learning - Britain and the slave trade

This lesson focuses on slave auctions and the process. The lesson begins with a picture reveal starter, leading to a match-up activity of preparation for slave sales. Students then use sources/video clips to note what happened, leading to a diary entry from the perspective of someone attending the slave auction. Finally a whiteboard plenary using an Olaudah Equiano quote.
