Three schemes of work consisting of poetry analysis (8 lessons), Oliver Twist (12 lessons) and the Philip Pullman adaptation of Frankenstein (13 lessons). Suitable for high ability year 7 or mixed ability year 8. All schemes consist of reading assessments using extracts with additional drama ideas for Frankenstein and extended writing tasks using images as stimulus for Oliver Twist.
