This is a ready-to-import MarkSmithPro preset for a KS3 Design and Technology design-and-make project. It gives a clear assessment structure for the main stages of a project, from research through to the final made outcome.

The preset covers:

• Research
• Design
• Model
• Make

Each section includes student-friendly mark bands and feedback wording. It works well for giving pupils specific feedback on how they have investigated, generated ideas, developed their work, and used tools and materials safely and accurately.

How to use it:

1. Open MarkSmithPro.
2. Import the .marksmith file from this download.
3. Add your class list.
4. Select the descriptors that best match each student’s work.
5. Export or print the feedback sheets.

This is not a lesson booklet or worksheet pack. It is a MarkSmithPro project file, so it needs the free MarkSmithPro desktop app to open. I built it to make KS3 D&T marking clearer, more consistent, and easier for pupils to understand.
