Teach children how to keep going when learning becomes difficult.

This complete KS2 character education unit helps pupils understand the value of effort, practice and persistence. Children learn how to set achievable goals, break a challenge into smaller steps, move through the difficult middle of a task and learn constructively from setbacks.

The unit distinguishes perseverance from simply repeating the same approach. Pupils are encouraged to adapt, ask for help, try new strategies and recognise the progress that comes from sustained effort.

The pack contains 30 files, including a launch assembly, six no-prep Circle Time sessions and six complete 40–45 minute lessons, all with presentation decks. It also includes a Teacher Guide, Knowledge Organiser and Pupil Reflection Journal.

Written for Years 3–6 and built on the Jubilee Centre Framework for Character Education. Complete Verity Character Education schemes are available for both KS2 and KS3.
