Full Unit -

/teaching-resources/dashboard/resource-management/add-resource/13535985/published

This Scheme of Work has been created to meet the teaching requirements of the new NSW Geography 7-10 Syllabus (2024), which is being implemented from 2027.

This SoW is detailed, differentiated and engaging, allowing teachers to move students through the content efficiently while developing geographical knowledge, data interpretation, geographical inquiry and extended writing. Lessons use a consistent I Do, We Do, You Do structure and include retrieval practice, explicit instruction, structured discussion and independent application.

The complete unit contains 14 lessons:

L1 - How Are People Around the World Connected?
L2 - How Does Tourism Connect People and Places?
L3 - How Are States Connected Through Trade?
L4 - What Are the Spatial Patterns of Global Trade?
L5 - How Are the World’s Two Largest Economies Linked Through Trade?
L6 - How Can Consumption and Production Impact Society?
L7 - How Can Consumption Impact the Environment?
L8 - How Can Production Impact the Economy?
L9 - What Happens to New York City’s 3.2 Million US Tons of Rubbish?
L10 - How Is the NSW Government Responding to Production?
L11 - How Is the NSW Government Responding to Consumption?
L12 - How Can Local Communities Create a Circular Economy?
L13 - Interconnections - Unit Review and Researching Interconnections
L14 - Why Is the World Becoming Increasingly Connected?

I’m happy to answer any questions you may have prior to purchase and any feedback is, of course, welcome.
