Inspire curiosity, ambition and a love of reading with this vibrant non-fiction inspirational people reading display! Built around the theme “Today a Reader, Tomorrow a Leader”, this display encourages children to explore the lives and achievements of remarkable individuals from a wide range of fields while promoting reading for pleasure and independent enquiry.

When I used this display in school, I placed labels on drawers containing additional books, activities and worksheets linked to specific inspirational people, although the labels can just as easily be displayed alongside books on shelves or in baskets. I regularly rotated the books on display to keep children returning to discover someone new. The alphabet and decorative elements were displayed on the wall, and I used a blackboard area to pose thought-provoking questions and discussion prompts to encourage children to reflect on the people they were reading about and the impact they had on the world.
