This is ready-to-teach lesson that gets students out of their seats, discussing their thoughts and ideas to explore the connection between memories and emotions. This lesson touches on the Multi-Store Model of Memory- but don’t worry, it’s all explained in the Teacher notes!

Students recap or learn the Multi-Store Model of Memory- how memories are psychologically formed.

The main activity is where students get moving around, sharing their thoughts and discusing the various scenarios. There are 16 in total- use as many as you like, and edit them to make them more personalised to your class. The resources for this are included- just print and stick them up around the room ,ready for the lesson.

This lesson series is written for Year 9 Psychology, but can genuinely be used anywhere- PSHE, Wellbeing, tutor time, end of term-filler lessons and more.

What’s included:

  • Fully editable 22-slide PowerPoint with a starter, clear learning objectives, Multi-Store Model diagram with explanation and 16 scenario-based discussion slides.
  • Printable emotion cards to display
  • Teacher notes throughout, including a plain English walk through of the Multi-Store Model for non-specialists, and guidance on adaptations.

This is Lesson 3 of a 5 part series. Check out the other lessons in my shop, or grab the bundle to save. None of the lessons need to be taught in order- use one, use all five or pick and choose.
