This four-lesson sequence launches the Protest and Change focused study. It moves from the big picture (what protest is and whether it works) into each case study through source work, and ends with a comparative synthesis built around the four key concepts of the new course: causes and effects, continuity and change, perspectives, and significance.

Each lesson is written for a 60–90 minute block and can be stretched across two shorter periods. Paper 1 skills (source comprehension, analysis of value and limitation, comparison, and synthesis into an argument) are embedded from the start rather than saved for exam season.
