This resource is aimed at a level two health and social care or child care group. It is a complete power point and accompanying workbook. Learners are encouraged to engage in the activities as the lesson progresses. Differentiation can be encouraged by giving a printed version of the powerpoint for all learners to follow,
It can easily be adapted to suit most qualifications i.e. BTEC NCFE OCR.
It covers the life stages with an emphasis on ‘what happens before’
Students are challenged to express what they can see from picture images and exoress this on paper. They are also challenged to explore the concept of hormones and particularly the impact of one particular hormone during breast feeding. Learners should be encouraged to be stretched and challenged during this lesson, as it simplifies some concepts which are conventionally level three thinking!
