Explore the Challenges and Triumphs of Homesteaders on the Great Plains

This engaging lesson is designed to help students understand how the Homesteaders overcame significant challenges on the Great Plains, including issues related to water supply, natural hazards, extreme weather, crop protection, bankruptcy, insect infestations, and interactions with Native Americans.

The lesson features a comprehensive 33-slide PowerPoint presentation that includes six core activities, ensuring a dynamic learning experience. These activities consist of:
